Preamble

Welcome to Yawn Wider! If you're here, then it's likely you're new to the server. If you're a bit lost or confused, you've come to the right page as this one will be full of information that all new players to this server or in SS13 in general will need to know.

While here, it's strongly recommended you read over the server rules before fully jumping into the game.

About Yawn Wider

Yawn Wider is a Heavy Roleplay Space Station 13 Server that runs extended rounds. In simpler terms: A player is expected to roleplay their jobs and stay in character while playing. As well as this, most rounds tend to last for upwards of 20 hours should a vote not be called from start to end.

Getting Started

If you're familiar with the layout of SS13 you'll have no issue navigating the button layout of the character menu or the game panel and can move past this part of the guide. If you're not, though, here's what you need to know:

When you join, you will see this menu.

Boot Menu

1. Character Setup - This button opens the Character Creator menu in which you can create your character.
2. View the Crew Manifest - This button shows the Crew Manifest.
3. Join Game! - Clicking this opens the menu that displays your designated job role for the round.
4. Observe - Observe will let you join the round as an observer, whatever you see during this time is OOC information and is not to be used ICly should you play.
