Whitelists

At present, Yawn Wider has a handful of whitelisted things that any player can apply for by joining the discord and requesting it through the "requests" tab.

Species Whitelist

The species whitelist can be applied for on the discord. Background information isn't as important as much as how you intend to play the character, but it's still appreciated to have some background given to the character of the species you apply for.

Do keep in mind that when playing a whitelisted race, players are expected to follow the server rules as well as not abuse the race's mechanics for any type of in-game advantage. Doing as such can cause the whitelist to be revoked or for worse punishments pending staff discretion.

Currently the only whitelisted race are the Protean.

Fluff Items

Fluff items are items available only to you through the loadout menu. They are custom made and are available only by applying for a whitelist in the discord. Should you apply for a whitelist, it is strongly recommended to have pre-coded any additional functions to the item as well as provide a sprite file for the item in question.

Residential Area Reservation

The residential areas of the NCS Serenity are available by whitelist only. The information about the current vacancy status can be found here.

Players can join from the NCS Serenity as off-duty roles and go to the NSB Cryogaia by a shuttle that docks at the bay of the NCS Serenity's residential suites. When heading to the station players are expected to leave dangerous or illicit items at their apartments. When heading back to the residential suites you are required to leave departmental equipment at your departments, go off duty, and submit to a search by a guard prior to boarding the transit back to the residential suites.

When whitelisted or visiting a whitelisted players residence, it is required that you follow the rules listed below:

1. All players are required to go off duty and leave their departmental belongings behind prior to exiting to the security checkpoint shuttle.
2. No items are permitted between the station and residential areas regardless of how inconsequential they are. This means no food, weapons, toys, or other items. If it did not come with you from loadout, please leave it behind.
3. Breaking into other residences can net you a removal from the residency suite as well as a potential ban as the Residential area is treated as a out of game dorms.
4. The NCS Serenity Residential Suite is an OUT OF GAME area. If a player clocks out with intent to head to the Residential Suite, their job slot will be considered fair game to any players who join from that point forward until they return back to the station.
