NanoTrasen Monetary Policy
NanoTrasen Bank Accounts
All employees are given a bank account for use aboard NanoTrasen facilities. These accounts are created immediately before their arrival and are deleted at the end of a standard work period, with all remaining funds in the account being transferred to the employee's personal banking account, or otherwise delivered to the employee in a method compliant with Galactic Labor Rights.
The contents of a NanoTrasen Bank Account represents a portion of an employee's wages (the exact portion of which is defined by an individual's labor contract). NanoTrasen Bank Accounts should not be treated as personal bank accounts for any purpose other than use on NanoTrasen facilities during working hours.
Department and Station Accounts
In addition to each employee's account, an account is available for each department, as well as one for the station itself. Every Head of Staff is given access to their department's account. These accounts should only be accessed for purposes directly related to the continued function of their respective department. NanoTrasen's Financial Department performs regular audits on how these funds are used, and misuse of these funds is grounds for immediate demotion or termination.
Station vending machines also have an account. This account should only be accessed to issue charge backs if it can be proven that the purchased product was never received.
Security Fines
Many violations of Corporate Regulations incur fines. These fines should be paid only by the offender, and should be immediately deposited into the Security Account, or otherwise held in a secure area if the account is not available. Members of Security should not take the fines for personal use.
Service Staff
While it is not generally required for Bartenders, Chefs, or other Service staff to ask for payment, individual contracts may vary. If a member of Service refuses to provide their service without payment, whether by personal choice or contractual obligation, the payment must be deposited into the Service Account, not the staff's personal account.
Service staff are free to request tips that they may use in their personal account, but they cannot make tips mandatory.
Suspension and Revocation of Accounts
The Head of Personnel is trusted with the responsibility of handling station finances, including employee wages. If an employee refuses to perform the duties expected of them without an acceptable reason, or is otherwise dismissed or terminated, the Head of Personnel can suspend their account, preventing them from accessing the funds. If an account is still suspended by the end of a standard work period, it will be submitted for review by NanoTrasen's Financial Department before action is taken.
Theft of Funds
If an employee is found to have stolen, embezzled, or otherwise misappropriated funds from a NanoTrasen account, of either another employee's or a station account, they are to be charged with (§102) Petty Theft under Corporate Regulations, or (§215) Grand Theft if the amount is in excess of 1,000 Thalers
