The sudden appearance of a Covenant frigate in a region of space owned by Nanotrasen sparked widespread curiosity and intrigue. The frigate materialized seemingly out of nowhere through a mysterious bluespace anomaly, coinciding with the activation of a bluespace drive on another vessel, believed to have sustained damage in a pirate attack. The fate and whereabouts of the other vessel remains unknown.

Little is currently known about what happened, and communications has been slow as no one spoke the other's language. However two of the multiple species inhabiting this ship has let themselves out when they had been offered to work. The '''Kig-Yar''' and the '''T'vaoan''', which are of the same family.
As the NT authorities scrambled to establish contact with the newly arrived Covenant ship, they encountered numerous challenges due to the language barrier. The Covenant species had their own unique forms of communication, making immediate understanding difficult. Despite these initial difficulties, a breakthrough occurred when some of two species from the Covenant ship, the '''Kig-Yar''' and the '''T'vaoan''', expressed a willingness to cooperate and work alongside the NT crew, which happened when they understood they would get paid.

Nanotrasen extended an offer of employment to these Covenant species. A mutually beneficial agreement was reached, and the Kig-Yar and the T'vaoan were hired to work for Nanotrasen on Cryogaia.
